The Story

Born in a garage.
Raised on South Florida stages.

Triggerslip formed in Coral Springs, Florida in 1999 — four teenagers who set school and sports aside to chase the band they'd always wanted to hear.

It started with brothers Zach and Logan Lenz, writing original music in the family garage. Family friend Brandon Singer was trying to start a band of his own; the connection was instant. A few weeks later, bassist Mike Starkman completed the lineup, and Triggerslip was born.

The band cut its first demo over three days in 2001, then hit the streets and the schools with nothing but promotion on their minds. In early 2003 they returned to the studio for a self-titled EP — recorded with the engineering support of Chris Carrol (Collective Soul, Creed's My Own Prison). Six songs. Over 2,500 copies sold across South Florida, and a reputation as one of the best live acts in the state, playing three to four shows every month.

In 2007, it all landed on Bullets and Broken Promises — the debut full-length, released through Endagon. Ferocity and melody in equal doses.
